Hi, I'm Missy
I love Jesus, I love His Word, and I love following the little threads in Scripture that make me stop, think, and dig deeper.
My walk with God has not been neat or perfect. I made a lot of painful choices when I was younger, and my story includes rebellion, brokenness, regret, and plenty of moments when I needed God to rescue me from myself.
But it also includes redemption.
Jesus has completely changed the direction of my life. The more I study Scripture, the more I see that God does not waste any part of our story. He meets us in our mess, tells us the truth, and lovingly teaches us how to walk in freedom.
I am a mother and a youth leader, which means most of my Bible study happens in the margins of a very full life. I am not a theologian, pastor, or Bible scholar. I am simply a woman who loves to sit with her Bible, ask questions, look up original words, follow cross-references, and pay attention when the Holy Spirit highlights something.
Sometimes one verse turns into an hour-long rabbit hole.
Sometimes a question Jesus asked becomes a question I realize He is also asking me.
And sometimes I learn something that is simply too good to keep to myself.
That is how Bible Study Thoughts began.
For years, I shared my studies on Facebook using the hashtag #BibleStudyThoughts. This website became a place where those longer studies could live, especially the ones that would never fit into a normal social media post.
My hope is not to tell you what to think. My hope is to invite you to open your Bible, look closer, ask deeper questions, and discover for yourself how alive the Word of God really is.
I am still learning.
I am still growing.
I am still being corrected, healed, stretched, and transformed by Jesus.
These are simply my Bible study thoughts along the way.
